Since i was a child, i would love to buy magazines and collect beauty pictures which i kept in a folding binder. I still like to look at them, they inspire me for my makeup looks or for taking pics with models or even draw or paint. Here are some of the pics that inspires me.
Love the golden eye shadow under the eyes here. For more of artistic looking. Definitely wanna try something like that one day.
The colours here are exquisite.
A high end yet simple looking with the fake eye lashes and soft pink lipstick. Love the actress Song Hye-Kyo. She’s so pretty.
Love the dark aqua blue with the black eye shadow and nude lips color.
I really love this metallic lipstick color and the eye shadows colours combined together.
Some light nude colours for the eyes and a very bright lipstick colour can make a huge change. That neon pink is awesome.
Here are some of the images that came from my makeup collection. As you can see, some of the images inspired me to doodle on them.
I’m sure some of you did the same thing as me before the popularity and the amount of stuff you can now find on the internet, you were probably also ripping magazines pictures and collecting them or even doodled on the photos. Did some of you do that or still do? Which inspirational beauty looks inspired you or that you absolutely loved before?
It’s been a while since my last post. I have 2 post ideas that i haven’t finished yet. I will post them soon. Today’s post will be about my latest shopping spree since a lot of stores are clearing their stock out. Their Semi-Annual sale is on. I bought 2 sports bra from La Senza since i was going to the gym the next day. It’s been a long time i haven’t been to the gym and i wanted to be serious about it this time. I’m gonna subscribe to the EconoFitness gym. It’s 10.75$ per month, a very good deal compared to my subscriptions at my university. I have never bought any sports bra before. They are really comfy and soft on the skin. It feels sooooooooooooooo much more comfortable than wearing a bra. I felt good knowing that i would be wearing those while working out.
When i tried the Criss Cross Back (image below), i fell in love with it. I was like wow, this really looks good on me and gives an edgy look on the sides due to the holes.
The second sport bra i got was this Mesh Keyhole & Racerback. This one holds much better since the lace strap(under the breast area) is a bit tighter than the other one, but that’s what i need for faster running.
Both fabric are the same. I love the texture, it’s expendable and soft. I’ve work out with the grey one and it did it’s job very well. It’s also breathable. I was also happy that they were on sale for 10$. I wanted to find the matching bottoms to go with both bras, but they didn’t have it anymore, neither online :(. Oh well at least i found these 😛 When i purchased them and tried them again at home, I was so eager to share my findings. 😛 It also gave me the desire to purchase more sports bra. I always thought it would show that i’m wearing one, but it seems it didn’t with those since it didn’t make my breasts look flat. It also gave me that thought: working out in clothes that makes you feel good, boost your confidence and makes you want to workout.
I also got a nice simple black shirt for 10$ that is stretchy from Rw & Co., soft and slick.
At last i got a jogger pair of pants from American Eagle for this summer. I thought it would match well with my black shirt. Love these patterns. It’s very lightweight and soft. Got it for 12$.
I seriously can’t wait for summer to wear these pants. My summer wardrobe is much more diversified compared to my winter wardrobe.
Well, that’s it for my latest haul. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my post. Did any of you had a chance to take advantage of the semi-annual sale? What did you buy?
Makeup is important yes so is the skin. I’ve come across this great Tarte skincare travel set that i absolutely love. The Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel is really great. It doesn’t leave my skin dry after wash. Love the citrus fragrance. It is obviously not for make-up removal nor does it exfoliate. It only washes the face for a regular daily use.
The Maracuja Oil, is still up for trial for me since i find it heavy for the face. Once you apply it, even a thin layer, you feel like you have this weight of the oil on your face it’s rather bothersome. But to rejuvenate the skin it’s great, of course not to be used on a daily basis i think. It would feel like it would block my pores. If i feel there’s too much on on my face, i would simply remove some with a tissue paper.
The Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist is awesome. I spray it directly after i have finished washing and dried my face. Therefore before putting my daily cream on. It makes my face firm, slick and gives a natural shine to it. It’s also a good to use before applying the primer to make the makeup stay longer.
The Amazonian clay highlighter is great to brighten parts of the face. It gives a little beige chrome looking to the applied part of the face. The texture is soft but it stays well on the skin. To put after you applied your foundation.
The Cabana Boy lipstick is soooo smooth. I love it. I thought the colour would like a beige. Turns out it’s like a beige purple. It’s perfect for a nude looking makeup with a bit of edge or where the most attention of the makeup is drawn to the eyes. It’s different from i ever had. The texture of the lipstick is reallly SOFT. I’m really surprised and impressed by it.
I’m really happy that i got this travel set. I would definitely use it a lot. Have any of you bought this travel set? What did it do to you? Do you love it as much as i do? Please share you comments and critiques. I would be happy to hear about it 🙂
Here’s my new product the Mac Blot matte powder. 😛
I have mixed skin, my most oily part of my face is the t-zone and the rest is dry skin. I needed something that would help with my oily parts of my face without making it too dry. So i decided to search for a compressed matte powder. I’ve had a bare minerals matte loose powder. I didn’t like it in the end since it dried too much my skin and too much of powder was staying on my face. My face looked so textured instead of smooth.
I’ve tried the Urban Decay De-slick mattifying powder. It was quite dry (very compressed). It would probably mean that it would be hard to pick up the powder from the puff or even maybe from a brush. I’ve also tried the Tarte Smooth Operator pressed powder. The texture was so soft but it was not compressed enough, therefore too much of powder would come out. It might also leave creases near the eyes and it would create smile lines which i definitely would not want. I don’t wanna look old ahahah. I was stuck with these two choices. I didn’t know which one to choose. I’ve read reviews from both and they both had good reviews.
Then my makeup whore friend (i’m not disrespecting her, she totally knows it ahah. She knows much more about makeup than me and what are the good stuff, so i trust her :-P) suggested me the mac blot matte compressed powder. It costs less then the UD and Tarte one. 32$ is an okay price and for Mac. I’ve used it twice so far and i’m satisfied with it. It holds my makeup, leave my skin dry and my face feels light like as if i didn’t have any makeup on my face. Easy to bring to anywhere and the puff is a decent quality to use. My face looks smooth as if i had no powder on my face. I’m really happy that i found this product 🙂
How about you girls or guys? How did you find this mac blot matte product?
It’s my second urban decay palette. Yeee. I’m now quite a big fan a urban decay products. I’ve bought the original eye primer, the spray to fix my makeup, mascara and eye liners. I got the shadow box in sale for 25$ at the Vente de l’Oreal. When i bought it, I was very happy to see that it was a small kit that i can carry at work to use and it is quite light compared to my spectrum palette which is pretty big, heavy and hard to hold.
The first color that I’ve tried was the Freelove and i wasn’t so pleased with the pigmentation. Then i’ve tried more colours and i was still disappointed. The colors definitely lack of opacity. The colors are very pale once i apply it. I have to apply several times so that the colors looks close to the one’s on the palette. The colors that are closest to the palette’s colors are Indo and moonshadow. The blackout is nice; a simple mat black… Flash is not bad. The textures of the colours are semi-smooth. I’m using the 239 mac brush and it picks up very well the colours and i blend the colours with 217 mac brush. They are very good brushes so the problem is definitely not my brushes but the lack of pigmentation. I’ve also applied original ud eye primer (which is a very good eye primer i believe much better than the face one) before applying the eye shadow.
On another, I’ve tried it the Freelove eye shadow colour again (which is my favourite colour of the palette for now i think) the pigmentation was better and i didn’t have to apply it a couple of times, just 1 was fine. In summary, the shadow box palette is not so bad. Maybe more suitable for work attire since the colours are not too saturated; a little less punchy. Though I’m glad that i got it in sale.
