Night serum

Review | Estée Lauder Night Serum

Woohooooooooo!!!! I have finally received the gift that i won from a contest made by a very nice blogger Beautyowls. Check out her blog. She has some great reviews!

When i opened the package, there was a really nice fragrance to it. The serum box was wrapped in a golden silk paper. The bottle is really nice with a metallic red colour promoted for the Chinese New Year event.

Product claims:

Reveal a smoother, more radiant, younger look. Wake up to more beautiful skin every day.

Lines and wrinkles look significantly reduced. More than 75% of women felt their skin looked more youthful in just 4 weeks. Skin feels smoother, hydrated, stronger. 82% felt their skin was immediately hydrated.

The use of the eye dropper tool is really easy and i can simply apply the serum onto my skin. The eye dropper makes a big difference in how you use it and makes it more hygienic. Simply for that detail, i’m loving it.

As for the serum itself, the effect onto the skin matches their claims. The fragrance is not too pronounced compared to other serums which is good for me. It has a fluid texture which reminded me of a snail gel that i have. It has a slight yellowish transparent colour. It absorbs quickly and makes the skin automatically soft but not slick. It made my skin firm and made it feel like as if my skin was bit thicker.

Night serum

After a full face application and a couple of minutes later, my face did feel freshen up and smooth.  I also noticed that the very dry areas of my face were still dry. It was written that you need to apply it before your daily care. Thus why the very dry areas was not fully hydrated. Although, I’m happy that it didn’t make any parts of my skin red and it didn’t make it tingle which is big plus for me since I have very sensitive skin. In the morning, my skin looked healthy, shiny and soft. It felt better than having my daily night cream only.

I will still definitely use it again to see how my skin turns out after a couple of weeks. Although i would probably not purchased it simply because it is definitely an expensive night serum(118$ CAD), maybe during some big sales event.

That’s if for my review 😛 Hope it helped you.

Thanks for reading and take care 🙂

My beauty looks collection

Hi everyone,

Since i was a child, i would love to buy magazines and collect beauty pictures which i kept in a folding binder. I still like to look at them, they inspire me for my makeup looks or for taking pics with models or even draw or paint. Here are some of the pics that inspires me.

Love the golden eye shadow under the eyes here. For more of artistic looking. Definitely wanna try something like that one day.

The colours here are exquisite.

A high end yet simple looking with the fake eye lashes and soft pink lipstick. Love the actress Song Hye-Kyo. She’s so pretty.

Love the dark aqua blue with the black eye shadow and nude lips color.

I really love this metallic lipstick color and the eye shadows colours combined together.

Some light nude colours for the eyes and a very bright lipstick colour can make a huge change. That neon pink is awesome.

Here’s more inspirational looks for thought:

For more, see my Pinterest page 😛

Here are some of the images that came from my makeup collection. As you can see, some of the images inspired me to doodle on them.

I’m sure some of you did the same thing as me before the popularity and the amount of stuff you can now find on the internet, you were probably also ripping magazines pictures and collecting them or even doodled on the photos. Did some of you do that or still do? Which inspirational beauty looks inspired you or that you absolutely loved before?

Tarte skincare travel set review

Hi makeup lovers!

Makeup is important yes so is the skin. I’ve come across this great Tarte skincare travel set that i absolutely love. The Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel is really great. It doesn’t leave my skin dry after wash. Love the citrus fragrance. It is obviously not for make-up removal nor does it exfoliate. It only washes the face for a regular daily use.

The Maracuja Oil, is still up for trial for me since i find it heavy for the face. Once you apply it, even a thin layer, you feel like you have this weight of the oil on your face it’s rather bothersome. But to rejuvenate the skin it’s great, of course not to be used on a daily basis i think. It would feel like it would block my pores. If i feel there’s too much on on my face, i would simply remove some with a tissue paper.

The Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist is awesome. I spray it directly after i have finished washing and dried my face. Therefore before putting my daily cream on. It makes my face firm, slick and gives a natural shine to it. It’s also a good to use before applying the primer to make the makeup stay longer.

The Amazonian clay highlighter is great to brighten parts of the face. It gives a little beige chrome looking to the applied part of the face. The texture is soft but it stays well on the skin. To put after you applied your foundation.

The Cabana Boy lipstick is soooo smooth. I love it. I thought the colour would like a beige. Turns out it’s like a beige purple. It’s perfect for a nude looking makeup with a bit of edge or where the most attention of the makeup is drawn to the eyes. It’s different from i ever had. The texture of the lipstick is reallly SOFT. I’m really surprised and impressed by it.

I’m really happy that i got this travel set. I would definitely use it a lot. Have any of you bought this travel set? What did it do to you? Do you love it as much as i do? Please share you comments and critiques. I would be happy to hear about it 🙂
